Blog // Inspiring Questions: My Answers (From marcandangel)

Working Holiday. This week tested my endurance as well as my patience. It was really a challenge for me to work and study while being sick. I finally understand why my teachers and professors go to School/University to teach despite being sick. Reason? They have responsibility for each of the students their teaching.

Today, I was randomly checking my news feed when I stumbled upon an article made by Marc and Angel. Since I have time to kill I decided to answer some questions.

1.  What pleasant surprises did I discover this week?

That life is indeed full of surprises. I never really thought that my presence or whole being will have an impact to other people. I used to consider myself as someone who was WORTHLESS because a lot people from the past made me feel that way. I learned from it, that’s why I am trying to change my views in life. I cannot please everybody but I can please somebody. That’s enough for me. People who accepted me for WHO I AM will be treasured…

2.  What lessons did my work teach me that I could build upon next week?

That patience is a virtue. In my job, being patient is a MUST. I should increase my level of tolerance and expand my knowledge to help other people learn from me.

3.  What could I have spent more or less time doing?

I could have spent more time on thinking positive things. I could have spent more time on ignoring negative and depressing people. I could have spent less time on self pitying. I could have spent less time on worrying about something which is not worth my time.

4.  How did fear and uncertainty affect what I did and didn’t do?

Sometimes, I feel like doubting myself is one of my hobbies. Even if my true friends believe in my capabilities I cannot make myself believe in me. I always try to bring myself down to avoid mean girls and conflict. Because of the “DOUBT”… it triggered my stress level to increase causing me to be sick for the past few days. It terribly affected my health and made my emotion unstable (not in a crazy way).

5.  What is the first logical step for next week?

POSTIVE. OPTIMIST. I am going to be. It’s about time for me to do something new that will definitely help me grow.

Good night. I hope to feel better. Honestly, being sick is killing me. I feel terribly bad.

Things that made me happy:
- Friendly conversation.
- Card from my former student.
(Honestly, I was very happy when I received the card. She's not even my student this month but she keeps on contacting me which is really nice of her. I love this girl so much. She treats me like an older sister and even her mother knows me. I hope to see her again... maybe on December.)
- Cranberry Juice
- Meeting people from my former high school.
- Double Pay (I know, I know... but we all deserve it!)
- That I have true friends.

Blog // Complicated Situation: Things to Remember

Someone told me last night that “We think sometimes our life is simple.” He is right. Most of the times we tend to find ourselves in a complicated situation wherein life gets difficult. Circumstances are getting more confusing. You are becoming anxious and worrisome.

There are things in this world that we cannot avoid. Arguments, fights, wars, misunderstandings., etc. Nevertheless, we should always remember that everything will eventually be “Okay” if we show the positive ways on how to conquer our worries, negative thoughts, sadness and self pitying and turn them into something that will make us confident and a better person.

My experience:

He told me last night that I’m always in a complicated situation. He is right again. My life is complicated ever since. Recently, I was involved into a fight between two groups of people and with all honesty I think I was the cause of the problem. I made the environment dark and depressing. People who supported me told me that it was not my fault and that I was only a victim. However, since I already got used to be in this kind of situation I already learned the art of being happy.

Things to remember:

1. Everybody has their own problem

Do not be too self-centered. Everybody has their own problems. There are people who are very showy with their emotions but there are also people who are not and treat their Major problems as something Minor. You know why? Because if they are going to FOCUS on the problem itself they will never see the solution for it. You must learn how to treat your problems well. Don’t let it affect your life too much. There are other things in your life that you should be focusing on. Try to support the people around you, inspired them, be inspired and always remember… everybody needs support.

2.  Set side negative thoughts by focusing on positive thoughts

I know this sounds hard but you must learn how to alleviate your attention. Setting aside the negativity will make way for the positivity. Try to remember the happy things that had happened to you during the past days. Try to re-read letters that inspired you, emails sent by your friends, messages from your special someone. Doing simple things will help you overcome the sadness brought by problems.

3. Be happy and Don't be afraid

Sometimes, people are afraid to face their problems. They are afraid of the consequences that might happen if they try to confront their problems. However, you must try how to be confident and fight. Do not be afraid because there are people who are on your sides, people who are supporting you and cheering for you. Stand up and do your thing. Do not be afraid of mistakes because they will teach lessons in life that you will remember. Smile and be happy with the simple things that you have. Be thankful.

4. Talk with the elders

Talking with the elders will help you open up your mind and broaden your knowledge about life. Older people have more experiences and they might already experience the exact thing that you are experiencing right now. Try to tell them your situation and ask for advice. They are willing to help younger people on how to move on, go on, let go and give in.

Problems and complicated situations are the secret ingredient for a wonderful life. Through them, you will learn many things that will make you push hard and strive hard to know yourself, be yourself and to love the people who are important to you.

Sunday. Good Luck everyone. I’ve been into many complicated situation; believe me those things helped me a lot to become the person that I am right now. I may not be perfect but I know I became a better person compared to the person I was in the past.
